Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with young people, families, and carers to provide high-quality care and support.

Main Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of young people's mental health needs, working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, drawing on a range of evidence-based interventions, including DBT skills, Mentalisation-based therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including training and supervision, to ensure the highest standards of practice.

Person Specification
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Children's Social Worker).
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GSW).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Ability to work effectively with families, carers, and other professionals.
