School Overview
Preston-based Secondary Alternative Provision school seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic Behaviour and Pupil Support Worker to join their team. This setting provides full-time education for up to 125 SEMH pupils who require additional support.

Job Description:
This role involves assisting the development of a school-wide approach to behaviour, working closely with the Pupil Support Manager to deliver and develop strategies to improve behaviour of SEMH pupils. The successful applicant will be responsible for re-engaging pupils with learning, improving relationships, and broadening opportunities available to them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing a school-wide approach to behaviour
  • Work closely with the Pupil Support Manager to deliver and develop strategies to improve behaviour
  • Re-engage pupils with learning
  • Improve relationships between pupils and staff

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with challenging behaviour
  • Level 2 Numeracy and Level 2 Literacy or GCSE equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or current subscription to DBS Update Service)
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV covering all employment and education since leaving secondary school
  • Legal right to work in the UK
