About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in a SEMH school near Preston. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who display challenging behaviours, preferably with de-escalation training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to pupils who present high levels of SEMH-related issues
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective lesson plans
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Experience with Team Teach training (desirable)
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but can be provided)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or willing to process a new application)

Salary and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £90 per day, depending on experience, plus access to free accredited training courses for teachers and support staff, and a generous recommend a friend referral scheme.

Location and Hours:

This role is based in Preston and requires full-time attendance from 8am-3pm.
