Role Overview

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a Secondary Alternative Provision school in Preston to find a highly skilled and dedicated candidate for the position of Behaviour and Pupil Support Worker.

As a key member of the school's team, you will assist in developing a comprehensive behaviour strategy that caters to the unique needs of SEMH pupils. This involves working closely with the Pupil Support Manager to create and implement strategies aimed at improving behaviour and promoting positive relationships among students. The school prioritizes inclusivity, providing full-time education for up to 125 students who require tailored support.

The school believes in offering each pupil a bespoke learning experience that addresses their individual needs. They understand that many students have not had positive experiences with education in the past and aim to re-engage them with learning by fostering strong relationships and broadening opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour strategies
- Collaborate with the Pupil Support Manager to promote positive relationships and improve behaviour
- Provide tailored support to SEMH pupils to help them reintegrate into mainstream education or access specialist provision, further education, employment, or training

Requirements
- Proven experience in supporting pupils with SEMH
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents

Salary and Benefits
Estimated salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
