We are seeking a creative and supportive individual to join our team as a teaching assistant for students with special needs. This is a long-term opportunity with job security, located in the heart of Southwark, London.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working Monday to Thursday, with the option to work Fridays. You will be supporting students in classes of up to 8 students, developing their academic and social skills through creative approaches such as art or music.

  • Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Location: Southwark, London
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering one-to-one sessions to students with special needs
  • Assisting in lessons such as music, art, and P.E.
  • Supporting students in outdoor activities, including farm visits and work placements
  • Teaching numeracy skills, with a focus on independence and self-awareness
  • Developing and implementing personalized learning plans for each student
