Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Service Officer to join our team at Renfrewshire Council. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care and support to adults with PMLD and Autism, in accordance with Social Work policies and procedures.
  • Assist service users to meet their needs as detailed in their care plans, promoting their dignity, independence, and inclusion in the community.
  • Conduct risk assessments, complete care plans, and record daily support notes to ensure accurate and effective care delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for service users and contribute to a positive and respectful team culture.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of the needs of people with a learning disability and/or autism.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of service users.
  • Knowledge of common computer IT packages and ability to use them effectively.
  • Desirable: SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, driving licence, and experience of group work.
