We are seeking a Governance and Assurance Officer to join our team, supporting the delivery of robust and proportionate governance and assurance mechanisms for the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the flow of decisions needed by the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring that decisions are made at the right level, supported by proportionate evidence and recorded appropriately.
- Commission papers for Boards and Senior Leadership meetings, taking and distributing minutes and actions.
- Ensure actions from meetings are followed up and completed by designated staff, tracking any issues raised and feeding back appropriately.
- Champion the Programme Management Office's role across the Inquiry team, ensuring relevant and timely flow of information to the whole Inquiry team and seeking regular feedback on improvements to ways of working.
- Facilitate the implementation of the Inquiry's Audit Plan.
- Line Manage one Higher Executive Officer (HEO) Programme Management Office Support Officer.
- Conduct lessons learned to provide assurance to the Senior Leadership Team and Functional Leads.
The Programme Management Office is one of four Directorates within the Inquiry team, working closely with the senior leadership team and functional leads to deliver support to meetings and facilitate the decision-making process.
