About Our Client

A household brand and category-winning business is looking for a talented National Account Manager to head up a grocer. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and success within the chilled desserts category.

We are a family-owned global FMCG business with a turnover of over 3 billion Euros and a sizeable UK branded and own-label offering. We have a continued growth agenda, and our category captains in chilled have a household-renowned brand and invest heavily in NPD and exciting growth initiatives into 2025.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating customer strategies that exceed all objectives, adding value to the high-performing team, and using commercial processes to deliver daily customer management results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate customer strategy that exceeds all objectives
  • Add value to and be a harmonious part of a high-achieving team
  • Understand and use all commercial processes to deliver on daily customer management; range, distribution, space, cost prices, promotional plans, in-store activations
  • Negotiate and influence for new listings, distribution increases, additional promotion space
  • Build cross-functional relationships and touchpoints to further embed your understanding of the brand/OL offering
Requirements:
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with real passion and energy to deliver key wins
  • Grocery National Account Management - managed sizeable P&Ls across the top 4
  • Exposure and experience working with a brand or own label, preferably both
  • Demonstrable commercial wins through delivering strategic yet creative customer plans
  • Have a natural curiosity and opinion. To challenge and be challenged
  • Ability to build internal relationships in a high-functioning team
  • Financial/commercial understanding together with intellect to interpret performance and recommend actions
  • Highly influential both internally and externally and negotiation skills
  • Desire to be part of a fast-paced, 'red tape' free entrepreneurial and agile-based culture
What's on Offer:

Estimated salary: £65,000-£90,000 per annum

Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days in London, 2 WFH

Travel expenses including overnights
