About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Band 6 Nurse to join our Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care and support to children and young people with complex needs, including long-term ventilation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of nurses and care team members in providing high-quality care to children and young people with long-term ventilation needs.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Liaise with consultants, respiratory teams, and community teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Empower families and community care packages to be competent and confident in meeting the long-term ventilation and nursing care needs of children and young people.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/ RNLD/ RGN with post-registration experience of working with babies, children, young people, and/or adults with long-term ventilation needs. You will also need excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care.
