Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Nurse to join our Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team at Rainbows Hospice. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people who require long-term ventilation, working closely with Music Therapists, Complementary Therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care to children and young people with complex needs, including those requiring long-term ventilation
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Empower families to take an active role in their child's care, providing education and support as needed
- Work effectively within a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in pediatric ventilation care
Requirements:
- Qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RGN with post-registration experience
- Demonstrable experience of working with children or young people with long-term ventilation needs previously or during training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
