About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Band 5 Nurse to join our Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs, including those requiring long-term ventilation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people with complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their journey with us.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that the needs of each child and young person are met.
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of our services, sharing your expertise and ideas to enhance the care we provide.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified RSCN/RN (Child Branch)/RNLD/RGN with post-registration experience and relevant placement experience or pre-nurse training care experience. Experience working with children and young people with complex needs is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care and excellent communication skills.
