Job Description

The Student Association Finance Officer will serve as the primary point of contact between the Student Association and LBS Finance, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. This role involves approving Student Association expenditures, liaising with Finance to facilitate AP and Credit Control processes, and setting up suppliers for Student Association bank account verification.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice and exceptional service to stakeholders, responding to their requests and delivering critical information.
  • Develop materials and policy guidance, under the supervision of senior colleagues, to support the provision of an efficient and effective business support service.
  • Independently collect, cleanse, and analyze data, making recommendations to inform the department's decision-making process.
  • Collaborate across various functions, including AP, AR, FP&A, and Reporting, while supporting the AP team when not engaged in Student Association-related activities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in credit control, sales ledger, and purchase ledger.
  • A results-driven individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable people skills, with the ability to work independently and resolve problems effectively.
