Literacy Support Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Literacy Specialist to join our team at Helenarkell. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract role with the potential for permanent employment.
Moor House School & College is an outstanding residential and day school providing a differentiated mainstream curriculum to students aged 7-19. The school's beautiful rural setting on the Kent and Surrey borders offers a unique environment for learning.
The successful candidate will require a recognised qualification in working with students with Dyslexia/SpLD (Level 5 or above) and the ability to plan and deliver specialist intervention to students with literacy and language difficulties. A highly visual and interactive teaching style is essential for supporting students' learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialist intervention to students with literacy and language difficulties
- Planning and implementing individualised learning plans
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent support for students
The salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a generous family-friendly holiday provision and a stakeholder pension scheme with staff contributions matched by the school up to a capped limit.
