We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Outpatient Administrator. As a key member of our clinical support division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate records of patient appointments, referrals, and correspondence.
- Coordinate and schedule outpatient appointments, clinics, and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, relatives, and staff, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Develop and implement effective administrative systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Provide training and support to colleagues on administrative procedures and systems.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- 5 GCSE A-C grades including English and Maths or equivalent experience.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in administration/Customer Service or equivalent experience and willingness to complete if required.
- Previous relevant administration experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- IT literate and experience of using IT systems, including electronic patient administration systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, relatives, and staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
