About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ethical Commercial team at Boots as a Specialist in Pharmaceutical Negotiations.

As a key member of the team, you will support the delivery of budgeted Pharmacy buying profit by using market knowledge and commercial negotiation skills to agree maximised Brand Equalisation Deals (BED) with pharmaceutical manufacturers.

You will work closely with the Head of Ethical Commercial to identify opportunities to maximise the margin on products with new and current suppliers, combining report analysis with industry knowledge.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Ethical Commercial team in commercial negotiations between Boots and pharmaceutical manufacturers to secure enhanced discounts on branded medicines and devices.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximise the margin on products with new and current suppliers.
  • Apprising pharmaceutical manufacturers of the benefits of entering into a BED and explaining the implementation process.
  • Undertaking negotiations with new suppliers.
  • Collaborating with Generics and Parallel Import category teams at Alliance Healthcare to support the preferred product selection process.
