Job Title: Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager

Job Summary:

Prax is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager to lead our contracts and procurement activities in support of production operations, development projects, business development, and well-related activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust contracts and procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing contracts to provide logistic support to facilitate safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functionally responsible for leading and directing Prax's contracts and procurement activities

• Accountable for maintenance of, and compliance with, contracts and procurement processes and procedures

• Developing robust contracts and procurement strategies

• Sourcing, engaging, and building effective relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors

• Interface with all stakeholders and provide specialist advice and support to identify improvements to enhance business delivery

• Lead and negotiate contracts and related call-off orders

• Co-ordinate Tender Review Boards and/or contract approval processes as required

• Monitor contract validity/expiry dates and suitability of contracts, to ensure contracts remain active and fit-for purpose

• Ensure valid insurances and purchase orders are in place

• Lead contract administration and close out activities

• Ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, and third-party contracts and procurement reporting requirements

• Participate in internal and external contracts and procurement related audits, ensuring timely closure of actions

• Lead and negotiate inventory disposals (where disposal is necessary), ensuring all related contractual documentation is in place

Requirements:

• Experience of working for an Operator is essential

• Degree qualified with a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in the oil and gas industry

• Tier 1 / Service Company experience is preferable

• Proven EH&S and management leadership experience

• Experience of working in a functional matrix organisation is preferable

Skills and Expertise:

• Excellent negotiating skills and practical experience in leading successful contract negotiations, to secure favourable terms and risk profile for the Company

• Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
