Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Neonatal Peer Support Worker to join our team in Glasgow. As a Neonatal Peer Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing breastfeeding support to families in neonatal units, working closely with NCT Peer Support volunteers, and supporting Healthcare Professionals.

  • Delivering face-to-face breastfeeding support to families in neonatal units.
  • Providing informal breastfeeding peer support to mothers in line with the NCT peer support code of conduct.
  • Supporting Healthcare Professionals with monitoring and reviewing where appropriate.

This role requires strong communication skills, ability to build relationships, and confidence in prioritizing your own work. You must have at least 3 months of breastfeeding experience and be willing to undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and Neonatal Peer Supporter.

The estimated salary for this position is £21,658 per annum, based on 12 hours per week. Benefits include annual leave, pension, flexible working, and job security.
