Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Home-Based Glasgow Breastfeeding Support Specialist. This is a fixed-term contract until March 2025, and you will be responsible for providing breastfeeding support to families in the neonatal units across the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board.

  • You will work closely with volunteers and healthcare professionals to deliver peer support services.
  • Monitor and review cases where necessary, ensuring high-quality care for families.
  • Contribute to reflective practice sessions to continuously improve services.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills. At least 3 months of breastfeeding experience is required, and you must be willing to undergo training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and Neonatal Peer Supporter.

Benefits and Working Conditions

This role offers a competitive salary of £21,658 per annum (FTE), based on a 12-hour working week. You will also receive reimbursement for travel expenses and access to a range of employee benefits.
