About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Coordinator. As a key member of our Community Safety Team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies to prevent and respond to domestic abuse in Trafford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local agencies and organizations to enhance our response to domestic abuse
  • Provide training and support to colleagues and partners on domestic abuse awareness and response
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to domestic abuse
  • Work closely with the Community Safety Team to identify and address gaps in services and support for victims of domestic abuse
  • Collaborate with other teams within Trafford Council to ensure a comprehensive approach to addressing domestic abuse

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a related field, such as social work, counseling, or community development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including victims of domestic abuse, community groups, and partner agencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
