About the Role

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology Laboratory team. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services to patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process specialist investigations in the department
  • Provide specialist advice to clinicians on test appropriateness and timescales
  • Develop and implement quality management systems
  • Supervise and train less experienced staff
  • Work independently and lead on specialist areas as directed by the Lead BMS

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
  • Biomedical Science degree or equivalent
  • IBMS Specialist Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification
  • Substantial practical experience in a Biomedical Science laboratory
