Speech and Language Development Therapist

About the Opportunity:
Kedleston Group Ltd is a leading provider of educational services, offering a range of support programs for children and young people with Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN) and complex needs associated with additional learning needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are seeking a skilled Communication Skills Specialist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our therapeutic services.
The role will involve working across two schools, Hawley Woods School and Fernways School, supporting the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and young people with SLCN and complex needs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other therapists and educators to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- UK HCPC Registration, and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- successful post-registration practice and experience with young people (ideally experience of working with children with ASC needs)
- working knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding Legislation and other legislation.
We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, plus benefits including a comprehensive induction programme, regular Clinical Supervision, continued professional development and training, and access to clinical assessments and resources. Our schools provide a supportive environment with a dedicated Speech and Language Therapy room, an Occupational Therapy room, an ELSA room, and a functional life skills room.

You will be expected to engage in annual safeguarding training and remain vigilant and act swiftly if you have concerns about a child.
