Job Description

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Support Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Specialist Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with mental health needs in the Bristol area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to reflect on their experiences and develop strategies to overcome barriers.
  • Assist students in managing anxiety and stress caused by study-related issues and everyday living.
  • Help students achieve a balance between academic tasks and everyday activities.
  • Work closely with Randstad to ensure any concerns with students are communicated promptly.
  • Adhere to the qualification framework set out by the DfE and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to local universities or colleges, providing a mix of in-person and online sessions.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of mental health issues and support strategies.
