About the Role

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Support Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with mental health needs in the Bristol area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them achieve a balance between everyday living and academic tasks.
  • Improve students' organisational skills, such as time management, and assist them in preparing for deadlines.
  • Help students manage anxiety and stress caused by study-related issues and everyday living.
  • Facilitate students' reflection on their experiences and help them build confidence by leveraging their existing strengths.
  • Prepare students for new experiences, addressing their concerns and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Maintain professional and confidential relationships with students, communicating concerns to Randstad as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold membership with one of the following professional bodies:

  • BACP - The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • BPS - British Psychological Society
  • HCPC - Health and Care Professions Council
  • NCPS - National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
  • NMC - Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • SWE - Social Work England
  • SCW - Social Care Wales
  • UMHAN - The University Mental Health Advisers Network
  • COSCA - Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland
