**Job Title:** Student Support Specialist
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide learning support and academic guidance to students with autism, helping them to develop independence, build on their strengths, and create strategies for organization and time management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide academic guidance and support to students with autism
- Help students to develop independence, build on their strengths, and create strategies for organization and time management
- Support students to develop research skills, including finding and using credible sources, and creating action plans to stay on track with their studies
- Work with students to build on their comprehension skills in reading and writing
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and colleagues
**Requirements:**
- Qualified to undergraduate degree level (minimum level 6)
- Teaching qualification
- Extensive training in adult autism, including 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package) or The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education
**Desirable Skills:**
- Experience working with autistic clients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to identify ways to help students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
- Punctuality and reliability
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of students
