Job Description
Oxford is home to a prestigious school seeking a dedicated Education Assistant for a challenging role. This position requires a candidate with experience supporting children who have experienced trauma and behavioral difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with behavioral and learning challenges.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with specific learning needs, including slow processing speeds.
- Implement trauma-informed practices to promote students' emotional well-being.
- Create tailored lesson plans using Sounds-Write phonics techniques.
- Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to develop support strategies.
- Offer empathetic emotional support and assist with coping strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or relevant Level 2/3/4 qualification.
- Proven experience supporting EYFS/KS1/KS2 students with behavioral and sensory needs.
- Degree-level education (preferred).
Salary & Benefits:
