Transforming Mental Health Services in Primary Care

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will work closely with clinicians to develop and deliver high-quality mental health services for individuals over 18 with common mental health problems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and risk management to ensure effective care planning and delivery.
  • Provide expert support and education to service users, carers, and colleagues to promote mental health awareness and understanding.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate services, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Develop and deliver therapeutic groups, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our service users.
  • Attend integrated care team meetings to contribute to the development of mental health services and ensure alignment with trust objectives.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and adhere to evidence-based practices to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Drive when necessary, ensuring timely and efficient travel to service user locations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse Mental Health with a strong track record of experience in community mental health services.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in mental health care.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and safeguarding principles, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.

Desirable:

  • Relevant training in teaching, clinical supervision, or leadership, enhancing your ability to mentor and support colleagues.
  • Experience in leadership or management, enabling you to contribute to the development of mental health services and drive positive change.
