Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Primary Care Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing and improving services for individuals with common mental health problems in primary care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality mental health assessments and interventions to individuals in primary care settings, using evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring seamless transitions between primary and secondary care services.
- Provide education, support, and guidance to primary care staff on mental health issues, promoting a culture of mental health awareness and understanding.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of therapeutic and support groups in primary care settings, responding to local needs and priorities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary integrated care team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
- Engage in clinical supervision and caseload management, ensuring high-quality care and effective use of resources.
- Facilitate the stepped care model and clinical pathways for individuals experiencing enduring mental health problems, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register as a Registered Nurse Mental Health (RN3).
- Current continued professional development and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
- Experience of working autonomously in community mental health services, with a strong understanding of primary care settings and mental health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice, NICE guidelines, and clinical governance principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a primary care context.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and services.
