About the Role

Silver Arrow is seeking a highly skilled Airfreight Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our airfreight services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of our airfreight services, including creating and maintaining customer-standard operating procedures.
  • Financial Management: Have a clear financial understanding of each job file(s) within your remit, ensuring accurate and timely reports to the department manager.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide accurate and timely reports to the department manager, including operational reports and ensuring that anomalies are escalated appropriately.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, airlines, and overseas partners and agents.
  • Compliance: Ensure that Metro's policies and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements
  • Industry Knowledge: Industry and operational knowledge of Airfreight.
  • Pressure Management: Able to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines.
  • Commercial Skills: Strong numerical and commercial skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise – preferable).
  • Teamwork: Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Flexibility: Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated.
