Job Summary:

Silver Arrow Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Airfreight Coordinator to join our team in Hounslow. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of airfreight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer-standard operating procedures for airfreight shipments
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the department manager, including job file(s) within your remit
  • Deliver accurate and timely paperwork for import documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with suppliers, airlines, and overseas partners to ensure seamless logistics operations
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Monitor and analyze operational reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including Metro's policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Industry and operational knowledge of airfreight and logistics
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills, with ability to analyze financial data and reports
  • Excellent attention to detail, with ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive and flexible, with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Cargowise, with ability to learn new software and systems
