Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work closely with children who have special educational needs (SEN) in primary schools across Preston. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or adults, not necessarily in an educational setting.
About the Role:We are looking for someone to provide tailored support to students in a range of subjects, helping them achieve their full potential in academic and personal growth. This may involve working one-to-one or in small groups, planning and delivering engaging learning activities, and supporting the class teacher in creating an inclusive classroom environment.
- Deliver personalized support to students with SEN
- Assist in planning and executing sensory-based learning activities
- Foster positive social interactions and emotional development
- Use communication aids and strategies to help students develop language and interaction skills
Requirements:
- Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN (preferred)
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar (desirable)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
