Role Overview

This Learning Support Assistant position in Carlisle is an excellent opportunity to work in a SEND context and make a positive impact on the lives of students. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs, assisting teachers in the classroom, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Providing one-to-one support to students with special educational needs\
  3. Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and pupil management\
  4. Developing and implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behavior\
  5. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide wrap-around support for students\
  6. Attending meetings and contributing to team discussions to ensure effective communication and planning\
  7. Participating in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge\

Requirements

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or a related field (or equivalent experience)\
  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a SEND context\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment\
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to students\
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development\
