About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to support our KS1 students and teachers in a full-time capacity.

As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery. This will involve providing one-on-one and small group support to students who may need additional help, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and engaging in interactive activities to enhance students' learning experiences.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners. They will also have strong organizational and time management skills, as well as a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and educational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who may need additional help
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Engage in interactive activities to enhance students' learning experiences
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of learning resources and materials

Salary: £13,000 - £14,400 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Preston

Qualifications and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience working within a KS1 educational setting
  • A solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and educational practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Estimated Salary: £25,350 - £27,900 per year (based on 37 hours per week)
