Job Summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT is seeking a skilled Technical Instructor to join our Neurological Outpatient Service team. As a Technical Instructor, you will provide highly skilled support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, aiding the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide initial assessments for designated patient groups, as agreed with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work single-handedly and unsupervised when appropriate, either in the outpatient setting or occasionally in patients' homes.
  • Plan and provide ongoing treatment, education, and instruction to patients in individual and group settings.
  • Provide administration support, including telephone cover and clerical duties as needed.

Requirements

  • English Language pass at GCSE Level (or equivalent)
  • NVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant healthcare subject (or working towards)
  • Experience of working in a Health, Community, or Social Care setting
  • Relevant experience of working within Adult/Older people's rehabilitation
