Technical Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Instructor to join our Neurological Outpatient Service team at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT. As a Technical Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions.

• Provide highly skilled support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the outpatient setting.
• Conduct initial assessments for designated patient groups, as agreed with the multidisciplinary team.
• Work independently and unsupervised, providing treatment, education, and instruction to patients in individual and group settings.
• Administer support, including telephone cover and clerical duties as needed.

• English Language pass at GCSE Level (or equivalent)
• Maths pass at GCSE Level (or equivalent)
• NVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant healthcare subject (or working towards)
• Experience of working in a Health, Community, or Social Care setting
• Relevant experience of working within Adult/Older people's rehabilitation
• Experience of working in a Band 3 Therapy Assistant/Technical Instructor role
• Basic understanding and knowledge of neurological conditions
