Job Title: Commercial Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team at Nissan. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance.

About the Role:
  • Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with the Legal Manager and other stakeholders to ensure effective legal support
  • Manage a wide-ranging workload, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
  • Collaborate with internal and external lawyers on specialist areas, such as energy, environmental, and financial regulations
  • Support the achievement of department objectives and supervise junior members in their work
Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor/barrister in the UK, with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in a regional, national or international commercial law firm and/or in an in-house legal team
  • Minimum of a 2:1 in a bachelor's degree, with good accompanying academic records prior to this
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage a high workload
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential, with ability in other languages welcomed
