Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Nissan Motor. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal advice on a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, engineering and construction contracts, and outsourcing arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal support for ad hoc matters, including third-party claims, regulatory matters, and litigation.
- Collaborate with internal and external lawyers on specialist areas, such as energy, environmental, and financial regulations.
- Develop and implement new templates and internal procedures, and provide legal training to the organization.
- Manage the legal budget and external legal advisors, and control external spend.
- A qualified solicitor/barrister in the UK, with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in a regional, national, or international commercial law firm and/or in an in-house legal team.
- A minimum of a 2:1 in a bachelor's degree, with good accompanying academic records prior to this.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate a range of commercial contracts.
- The confidence to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage a high workload, with the resilience to work under pressure in a fast-changing commercial environment.
