Age UK is recruiting With over 250 locations across the UK, our stores raise funds for some of the incredible services and support provided by the charity.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our fantastic Fareham team.

As an Assistant Manager, you will support our Store Manager in all aspects of the business, guiding and supporting our valued team of Sales Assistants and volunteers while ensuring customers receive an exemplary shop experience.

You will have the ability to work collaboratively and consultatively with the Shop Manager, lead a team of volunteers and staff, and delegate and coach staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and improving customer satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate a team of Sales Assistants and volunteers to achieve excellent customer service and sales results
  • Develop and implement effective retail processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Manage stock levels, inventory, and merchandise displays to ensure a visually appealing store environment
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, to ensure profitability
