Job Summary:

Headway is seeking a qualified and experienced Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Engage in activities that promote socialization, education, and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of young people's progress and behavior.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people with challenging behavior, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Qualification in Children and Young People (QCF level).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level.
  • Full manual driving license.
