About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Support Worker to join our Young People Community Support team at Brandon Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with their daily lives, helping them to develop their skills and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • To empower the individuals we support to live the lives they want to lead, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • To develop and implement daily living skills, enabling individuals to manage their daily routines and tasks.
  • To support individuals to access their communities, promoting socialization, employment, training, and friendships.
  • To contribute to, develop, and implement individual care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of each person are met.
  • To communicate effectively and professionally with individuals, their family members, and external professionals.
  • To maintain the health needs of the individuals we support, ensuring that their physical and emotional well-being is prioritized.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with individuals, families, and external professionals.
  • A positive and patient approach, with the ability to work with individuals who may have complex needs.
  • Resilience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, contributing to the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Confident problem-solving and creative thinking, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
