About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Worker to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in a housing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people in a Key Worker role, providing guidance and assistance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and update action plans and risk assessments to ensure the well-being and safety of young people.
  • Offer one-to-one sessions and group activities to support young people in supported accommodation.
  • Enable young people to gain the skills needed to live independently in the community.
  • Manage your own diary and caseload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

  • A strong desire to support young people with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • An understanding of young people's interests and needs, allowing for effective action plans to be developed.
  • A passion for providing immediate care and support for young people with safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues.
  • A resilient and flexible nature when dealing with others.
  • The ability to work under pressure while producing support plans and meeting deadlines.
  • A positive approach, with a can-do attitude while maintaining professional boundaries.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time, temporary role based in our Bristol office. Working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, with one weekend in four on a rota basis.

DBS Requirements:

An enhanced DBS adult and child check is required for this role due to the nature of the work.
