Job Title: Youth and Community Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Youth and Community Worker to join our South Families in Focus Team. The successful candidate will work with a range of youth and play organisations to build and develop our South Youth and Play offer for children and young people aged 8-19 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with youth and play organisations to develop and deliver high-quality services for children and young people.
  • Coordinate the South Children and Young People's Networking Meetings and support the Youth Voice and Democracy work for the South Youth Forum.
  • Work with Families in Focus colleagues to secure the voice of children and young people in their work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including youth and play organisations, schools, and community groups.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of youth and community services.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 qualification in Youth and Community Work or recognised equivalent.
  • Post-qualification experience in youth and community work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
