Job Title: Youth Development Worker

Location: Bristol

Salary: £14.46 per hour

The Employer:

We are seeking a Youth Development Worker to join our team in a housing environment. Our client aims to enable local companies to recruit the workforce they need from their communities, contributing to economic growth and sustaining around 7,000 jobs in the building industry and its supply chain.

The Role:

  • Supporting young people in a Key Worker role
  • Providing and updating action plans and risk assessments
  • Offering young people in supported accommodation 1-2-1 sessions or supporting group activities
  • Enabling young people to gain the skills needed to live independently in the community
  • Managing own diary and caseload

The Candidate:

  • A drive to find solutions in supporting young people with a range of backgrounds
  • An understanding of young people's needs and interests, allowing appropriate actions plans to be made
  • A passion for providing immediate care and support for young people with safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues
  • A resilient and flexible nature when dealing with others
  • Being able to work under pressure while producing support plans and meeting deadlines
  • A positive approach, with a can-do attitude whilst maintaining professional boundaries

Working Hours:

37 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, and working 1 weekend in 4 on a rota basis.

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS adult and child is required to apply for this role due to the urgency to fill.
