We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our team at Five Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with specific educational needs, fostering their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with special needs, making the curriculum accessible and engaging.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Help students develop social skills and self-regulation skills.
- Support students during playtime and lunchtime to ensure their safety.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work 2-5 days a week, term time only.
- Compassion, resilience, and ability to handle challenging behavior.
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks (if necessary).
- Free specialized training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, PMLD/SLD Awareness, and Autism Awareness.
- Free DBS (refunded when you work five days).
- Recommending a friend bonus scheme.
- Specialist support and mentoring while you are working.
