Job Title: Church Administration Specialist

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing administration, buildings, finances, communications, and supporting the Vicar in planning the church's diary and events. This is a full-time role at St John's Church Colchester.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day finances using Xero accounting software and manage budgets to ensure legal and statutory obligations are met.
  • Plan and oversee maintenance and repairs, and develop the church's vision for its website, communications, social media, and wider publicity.
  • Support the Vicar in planning and delivering the church's vision and develop excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Xero accounting software.
  • Able to develop the church's online presence.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer an estimated salary of £45,000 per annum, which is competitive for this role in the UK. Additionally, we provide excellent benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
