Teaching Assistant

At Accelerate Teaching, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This rewarding role starts in September 2024 and offers the right candidate the opportunity to work in a vibrant secondary school setting in Wakefield.
About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting teachers with lesson preparation and delivery, providing one-on-one support to students requiring additional help, and helping to manage classroom behaviour. You will also assist with planning and executing extracurricular activities and school events, and collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop effective strategies to enhance student learning.
Candidate Requirements: We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for education and working with young people, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
