Global Internal Audit Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Internal Audit Expert to join our team at Astellas Pharma Europe. As a key member of our internal audit function, you will be responsible for executing high-level audits for complex global and regional topics.
About the RoleUnder the supervision of an Operational Audit Senior Business Partner / Business Partner, you will perform independent audit work with latitude for initiative and judgment. Your responsibilities will include preparing first drafts of audit planning materials, conducting and documenting interviews, and identifying, documenting, and confirming audit issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare first draft of audit planning materials (Scope Memo, Planning Memo) as assigned, for presentation to the Operational Audit Senior Business Partner / Business Partner.
- Conduct and document interviews and prepare working papers for audit work assigned.
- Based on interviews and audit work performed, identify, document, and confirm audit issues and develop recommendations.
- Compose formal audit observations and issue high-quality follow-up summary memos.
- Communicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong experience in accounting, auditing or compliance and other fields, including project management and organizational skills.
- Relevant professional accounting, auditing certifications preferred (e.g. Chartered Accountant, Chartered Internal Auditor, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information System Auditor, etc.).
- Proficient data analysis, analytical and organizational skills.
- Conversational and business English.
- BS/BA in Finance / Accounting / Economics or equivalent.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
This is a permanent, full-time position that follows our hybrid working model. You will be required to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in our office, located in Addlestone, KT15 2NX. We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
