Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Business Development Manager to join our Haematology Sales franchise team at Astellas Pharma Europe.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts to ensure seamless patient access to our products and driving business growth in your assigned accounts. You will develop and execute effective account plans, understand payer dynamics, and position yourself as a knowledgeable partner to customers.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to implement plans and overcome challenges to exceed targets. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing a robust local business plan involving relevant partners and stakeholders.
  • Managing local budgets efficiently and effectively according to local business plans, customer needs, and changing business demands.
  • Maintaining excellent knowledge of our product data, disease states, medical understanding, and competitor data.

You will be responsible for establishing the account potential and likelihood of delivering defined potential in each account. This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in life science or equivalent.
  • (ABPI) Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry qualified.
  • Demonstrable Key Account Management ability.
  • Experience of having worked with some of the key London private accounts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for continuous development.
