About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Services Manager to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the operational management of our services, ensuring that we deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operational management of our services, including service performance monitoring, complaint and patient experience management, and service planning.
  • Manage a team of direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues to ensure that our services are delivered within a clinically and financially sustainable model.
  • Develop and implement effective systems to enable the sustained delivery of key operational targets.
  • Support the implementation of service redesign, taking the lead for specific elements of wider transformation across the services.
Requirements
  • Experience of management in the NHS, including operational management, budgetary management, and service improvement.
  • Ability to analyse complex information, requiring analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options to support managerial decision making.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Performance management methodology.
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
