Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Service Manager to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality services and ensuring the effective management of our operational activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of operational teams to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operational Service Manager with the following skills and attributes:

  • Ability to analyse complex information, requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options to support managerial decision making.
  • Good communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Performance management methodology.
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Able to influence, negotiate and build working relationships.
