We are seeking a skilled and experienced Office Based Support Technician to join our team at Taylor Higson. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to clients via telephone and online, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and print-related issues, and scheduling field service engineers to attend site visits when required.
The Role:- Providing remote-based technical assistance to end-users of a variety of machinery, including printing presses and finishing equipment, including warranty claims
- Working with the service team to plan and schedule machinery installs, commissioning of new machinery, or organizing on-site equipment repairs
- Ordering parts and organizing delivery of these
- Documenting all aspects of every process using the company's client management systems
- Occasional travel to site to assist in technical troubleshooting
- Technically competent with troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical issues
- Can read and understand electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Computer literate (confident user of Office, Outlook, Excel, and CRM systems)
- Excellent client management/customer service skills
- Great attention to detail
- Electrically or mechanically qualified, or has hands-on experience equivalent within a similar role
- Full UK driving license with willingness to travel on occasion to client sites to assist with troubleshooting
Based on experience, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £41,000, plus pension, holiday allowance, on-site parking, and much more.
